Plotting

My 6mm side project is well underway for the war of the roses. I had a delievery of 100 80*40mm bases yesterday to mount the units on,

I have begun the long proccess of what lords were able to field what troops for which side at what point in which colours and arms and in what numbers they took to the field.

This task may take some time as there was no small amount of chaos at the time and a certain amount of side switching (boo hiss) There is also the issue of fathers being killed and there sons taking their place.

I shall be looking to reconstruct the local engagement at Blore Heath as well as many others of the famous clashes between the sides. For now i have settled with Impetus 2 as a rule set athough i have given serious thought to using days of knights. although not in production i have heard that an email to the auther can still result in a copy of the rules being attained.

I also have a 10 mm Saga project I am working on as a side side project (this is for when I am hiding from uni work)

I wish to adapt the existing Saga rule set for this, I believe it will work well with just a few tweeks and still offer a completly different feel to the encounter. a unit of 8 warriors for example could still be represented by 8 bases, just have 4 models per base giving the impression of a larger force. long will feel more like long as wel from a visual point of view and the battlefield will also appear much bigger despite being 3 by 4 still.

I feel this will come into its own when combined with SAGA epic, can not wait to showcase the results.

I spent most of my days on building sites involved in and around brickwork. I've recently been following my passion for history and decided to jump in fully by starting university in my 30's.
